Miley Cyrus Can't Stop | Blog/Entertainment

Former Disney star Miley Cyrus is proving that she's broken away from her good-girl image on popular children's sitcom, Hannah Montana with her new single, 'We Can't Stop'. Miley stopped by the Ryan Seacrest radio show Monday, June 3 to premiere her long-awaited track. It should have come as no surprise that the twerk queen would dive deeper into the risque musical realm, but the level of provocativeness on Miley's new track came as a unexpected shock to many.

'We Can't Stop' is a mellow party track with an undeniably catchy beat, but questionable lyrics. On the track, produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, Miley sings: "Red cups and sweaty bodies everywhere/ Hands in the air like we don’t care/ Cause we came to have so much fun now/ Cause somebody here might get some now." Aside from the sexual implications, the single references drug use: "Trying to get a line in the bathroom" and "Dancing with Molly" (The latter is debatable and some fans believe the singer is actually saying "Dancing with Miley").

While explicit party songs seem to be the norm these days, this track comes on the heels of multiple reports that Miley is smoking weed, which can lead one to take the words in her single literally. 'We Can't Stop' is a fun summer song similar to Rihanna's 'Cheers (Drink To That)' but could do without meaningless lyrics like "To my homegirls here with the big butts/ Shaking it like we at a strip club". Nevertheless, Miley's cult-like fan base seems to be loving 'We Can't Stop' and have already helped it earn the #1 spot on the iTunes Pop chart.

"This is a song that says where I'm at in my life right now," Miley told Ryan Seacrest of the track. Here's to hoping she doesn't become the next Lindsay Lohan!
